At Okaihau College we put a lot of focus on sports. Our students not only keep physically fit but they learn about teamwork, discipline and initiative; and all while having great fun!
Beach Volleyball Report
On Wednesday 16th of November and Friday the 18th of November Okaihau College hosted the ASB Northland Secondary Schools Year 7 & 8 and Year 9 & 10 . 12 teams from Kerikeri High School and Okaihau College contested the Year 7 & 8 Tournament with Okaihau’s 8SH and Kerikeri High School meeting in the final. In a closely contested game Okaihau College 8SH came out the winners. It was a great day played in good spirits.
For the Year 9 & 10 competition 14 teams from Okaihau College, Kerikeri High School, Taipa Area School and Te Kura Taumata O Panguru played in hot sunny conditions. In the finals Taipa Area School met Okaihau College. The well drilled Taipa Area School Team coming out the winners.
