Swim for Life
Year 7 and 8 students have the opportunity to participate in the Northland Swim for Life – Top Energy Water Safe Programme. This course is being run at the school over 5 days – 15,17,18,22 and 24 November with Instructor Tracey Mead and PE Department staff. Students will be rostered for a 1 hour session each day.
The aim of the programme is to promote the importance of learning to swim and survive as an essential life skill. Too many of our children in the North are unable to swim to survive. We need to address this and this programme will help do this.
All students are expected to be involved unless their parent/caregiver has rung Mrs Gorringe (ext. 828) personally to discuss the situation. Please encourage your student to actively participate in this programme as it will provide them with a life long survival skill and a great fitness outlet.
